His Holiness Mahatapsvi Shri Kumarswamiji was residing at this small room in Saptapur, a land of Navakalyan Math, Dharwad

Shri Kumarswamiji was residing in Navakalyan Math from 1932. Later he moved to another quiet place in Saptapur near Karanatka University Main Gate. After Tapovan came into existence, he finally moved and settled in Tapovan.

It was here at Saptapur, Shri Kumarswamiji received holy mantra “He Prabho Praseed Aum” from Divine.

From left to right- Saptapur in Dharwad, a land of Navakalyan Math where Gurudeva lived in this little room and received holy mantra – ” He Prabho Praseed Aum “- from Divine in 1957. Gurudeva performed deep penances (anushthan) here sitting in neck deep water in the tanks built in the garden of this ashram specifically for sadhana. Finally in 1965 following HIS inner voice Shri Kumarswamiji moved to Tapovan.

Webmaster’s note – Sadly Navakalyan Math has given this land for commercial purpose and today a Gas station stands in the area barring this little room which is currently used for commercial purpose.
